The young chef has transformed the traditional family restaurant Krone in Weinstadt in the Palatinate into the Michelin-starred restaurant Cédric. He has a long personal history with HEPP cutlery.
What is your relationship with HEPP cutlery?
HEPP has been part of our family for generations. Even my grandfather appreciated the quality, feel and look of the CONTOUR collection. I took all the cutlery from him and added individual pieces such as gourmet spoons and gourmet forks for my restaurant concept.
...in the middle of the beautiful town center of Weinstadt-Beutelsbach, Cédric Staudenmayer runs the Michelin-starred restaurant Cédric.
What do you value about HEPP?
HEPP cutlery, and the CONTOUR collection in particular, is timeless. It emphasises the traditional approach that my grandfather took, as well as the atmosphere of my modern fine-dining restaurant. Another important aspect for me is that I can still reorder a cutlery range that has been used in my family for decades.

Are there any items of cutlery that are particularly close to your heart?
That is definitely the iced tea spoon from the KREUZBAND collection. At the Ophelia restaurant in Constance, my first position after my apprenticeship, we used it in the patisserie for ice cream dumplings. The spoon is simply the perfect size for shaping desserts and looks very cool at the same time. I later received the spoon as a farewell gift from the Schwarzwaldstube in the Traube Tonbach. I now even wear it as a tattoo on my forearm.
