CUTTING EDGE sets new standards with its striking and disruptive design. This was also recognized by the expert jury of the German Design Award, which named CUTTING EDGE the winner in the category "Excellent Product Design – Tabletop". The German Design Council was particularly impressed by the innovative design language of the nine-piece collection. "The cutlery impresses with its successful combination of aesthetic and functional design. The innovative recess in the handle and the reduced design of the spoon and prongs contribute to a harmonious overall look. 'HEPP CUTTING EDGE' makes efficient use of materials and is pleasant to handle at the same time," said the experts' assessment. With the "Winner" award, the German Design Award committee honors outstanding and exemplary design achievements in the context of a specific category. The selection is made by a separate expert jury for each category of the German Design Award.
Inspiration from East and West
New York designer Kickie Chudikova was inspired by the East Asian tradition of using spoons and chopsticks together. This cultural fusion is reflected in the dynamic design language of CUTTING EDGE. The gently rounded edges and the unique opening in the handle make the cutlery a real eye-catcher and give it a sense of exclusivity.
