HEPP has received one of the world’s most distinguished design accolades for its CUTTING EDGE cutlery collection: the GOOD DESIGN Award 2025, presented by The Chicago Athenaeum in cooperation with The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies. The jury praises CUTTING EDGE as “an eye‑catcher par excellence” – a design that unites traditions and expresses hospitality in its most aesthetic form.
A fusion of two worlds
CUTTING EDGE is inspired by a centuries‑old East Asian custom: the combined use of a spoon and chopsticks. This cultural nuance forms the very heart of the collection.
The distinctive recess along the handle, framed by gently rounded edges, creates a tactile and visual experience unmatched in fine dining. The elegant opening where the handle transitions into the spoon lends each piece an artistic highlight.
Design with an international signature
The design is the work of New York‑based designer Kickie Chudikova, known for extraordinary forms, visual lightness and functional precision. Her ambition is to give every product a distinctive aesthetic – a vision that CUTTING EDGE conveys with remarkable clarity.
Featuring nine precisely crafted pieces, the collection meets all the demands of fine‑dining gastronomy and lends every course a refined nuance.CUTTING EDGE unites craftsmanship, elegance and contemporary design culture – perfect for table settings that meet the highest standards.
